The header fields describe the system base and source revision. The record lists contain buses, equipment, controls, and optional sequence data. Parsers preserve source data without running full schema validation. Call validate_schema() when the workflow requires that check.

Parsing skips validation for speed; call this method afterward to validate the records if needed.
